Frequently Asked Questions
The overall claims process can vary based on the type of claim, the severity of the damage, and many other factors. Once you have submitted a claim to Lumen Select, a claims representative will review the incident details and get back with you within 1-2 business days. You can also track your claims progress online in the “Manage My Policy” link provided above or on our Lumen Select mobile app.
Depending upon the type of claim, if you are at fault, the loss is related to a non-weather event, your rate may or may not be impacted. Contact your Lumen Select agent to see how your individual claim may affect your overall premium.
The deductible is the portion of the covered loss that you are responsible for under the policy. As an example, if the covered loss is $10,000 and your deductible is $2,500, you would pay $2,500 and Lumen Select would pay the remaining $7,500, or up to your limit.
You will typically pay your deductible directly to the contractor once the repairs have been completed.
Contact your claim representative with any concerns you have on your estimate, and they will work with you to find a fair solution.
